About GenCo Generators

GenCo Generators is a family-owned generator company headquartered in Fernandina Beach, Florida. We specialize in residential and commercial standby generator installation, maintenance, and repair across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Unlike the other guys who do generators on the side, we eat, sleep and breathe whole-house generators.

Founded on Experience, Built on Specialization

GenCo Generators was founded in 2020 by Chris, a former merchant marine engineer with a deep background in power equipment, and the company champion for Trane HVAC's generator line. When the pandemic disrupted the industry, Chris decided to build something of his own - a company focused exclusively on generators, run the way he knew they should be.

Today, GenCo operates a fleet of 6 fully branded trucks out of our Fernandina Beach facility, with a team of twelve experienced technicians and installers. We are a Generac Premier Dealer and an authorized Kohler installer, which means you get factory-backed warranties, correct sizing, and real manufacturer support on every system we put in.

Generators - It's All We Do

Most generator installs in Florida and Georgia are handled by electricians who also do generators on the side. That part-time approach shows up in the quality of the work. We are different. Every member of our team, every truck in our fleet, and every dollar of our marketing is focused on one thing: standby generators.

That specialization means we have seen every model, every site, and every quirk that comes up on a job. We know where the codes trip people up. We know how to size a unit for a coastal home with load that changes by season. We know how to handle HOA approvals, gas line permits, and electrical inspections without passing the problem back to the homeowner.

Fully Licensed in Gas AND Electrical

This is the single most important differentiator between GenCo Generators and almost every other generator company in our service area: we are fully licensed in both gas and electrical work. Most of our competitors are licensed in one trade and subcontract the other, which means more crews on your property, longer timelines, and more chances for something to go wrong.

With GenCo, one team handles the entire job. The gas line, the transfer switch, the pad, the electrical tie-in, the startup, and the final inspection are all done by technicians who work for us - not a revolving door of subcontractors.

We are the only company in Nassau County that routinely completes a complete residential generator installation in a single day. Gas, electrical, concrete pad, transfer switch, startup, and commissioning all handled in one visit. That is possible because of the specialization and the in-house licensing - and it is the reason so many of our customers tell their neighbors to call us.
